Kelly's Story
Hell'o,
Just a little note telling everyone that I have 2 boys, Brennen and Seth. My husband's name is Robert, we have been married for 18 years, together for 20. I stopped working in 2004, due to health reasons. My diagnoses after 4 years of hell is: Primary Lateral Sclerosis. It is a very rare disease, and encourage all who read this to google it and find out information on it. I don't think I need to tell you that I would rather have won the Lottery, but what the hell, it is what it is. I have some really bad days and some good days. s use a rollator walker at home. I also have had to use a wheelchair and a power chair at times. This has not changed who I am, just how I am. I felt the need to say this on here, because I see how people look at me, and it hurts. I'm not a disease, I have a disease. I have also packed on sooooo many pounds, so don't be surprised if you haven't seen me in years and I look so fat, I am, and it's not always a choice. I hope you all check out what PLS is, and educate others about it. The road to recovery is education, funding, knowledge and science. Thank you all for your time and stay healthy.
