Kelly's Story
Life
After graduation I wasn't sure what to do, so in May 1993 I joined the US Air Force. I worked in the Intelligence field until 1995,when I left the AF. While in the AF stationed in Germany, I married and had two beautiful children. After leaving the military, we returned to Barstow where my then husband started employment as a conductor with BNSF.
I graduated from BCC in May 2003. We then moved to Winslow, AZ. which is where I live still today. I have since divorced. I am a full time student again, Psychology is my undergraduate program of study, but overall I am working towards my maters in Occupational Thearapy. So, I am a part-time student trying to get as many of the remaining prerequisite courses done that I can before going on to the Masters Program.
I also own and operate my own preschool. IL have downsized to teaching 2 days a week instead of 3. It's so much easier this way.
I have taken up scrapbooking and love it! I have a room converted for all my craft stuff. It's such a release to go in there and work 'ti...Expand for more
l my hearts content.
I guess I forgot to mention earlier, I am on 100% disability with the military, I was diagnosed with Lupus after my son was born. I started having seizures in 2003. All the medication is horrible for what's left of my body. I am doing really good though, and praise be to GOD, I WILL continue to do good.
I mentioned my children earlier. Jacob, is soon to be 11 years old, wth Sarah 7. I homeschooled Jacob for 3 years. He is an exceptionally bright child. Sarah is also. She is in the GATE Program at school, whith is for gifted and talented children. She's come a long way. Sarah was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and we were told she wouldn't walk. Well, she not only walks, but runs, skips, does cheeleading, soccer, t-ball. Basically she does whatever her little heart wants. She does have to go to Phoenix Children's Hospital next month, though. She having a little bit of trouble with her handwriting fine motor skills) and has been falling quite a bit. Please Pray for her.
