Kelly's Story
Let me see, I have worked for nearly 27 years for one company. My husband, Gayland also works for them. When we married nearly 27 years ago (February 28, 1981) we set up house keeping in Leonard, and we are still in Leonard. We live in a great neighborhood and we are all close. I know the dogs names from every household in our addition. We have one son, Maxwell Blake (goes by Max) who is a Senior at Texas A&M. Max is majoring in Accounting and is currently doing an auditing internship at Deloitte and Touche in Dallas for 10 weeks as part of his business degree. Max has a beautiful voice and you know how Mommas are, he is just a great young man. My husband Gayland really should have been a chef! He is a wonderful cook and all of the ladies and (men too for that matter) at our church think he is the best thing since sliced bread. He coordinates...Expand for more
and cooks a Men's breakfast once a month at church and he is always trying out new recipes, though his cinnamon rolls are still the biggest hit, I think -- that and the Gradalupe grits. He and I teach Sunday School - I have 11th and 12th grade girls, he has 11th and 12th grade boys. I sing in the choir at Church and Gayland plays the drums for our choir. Some of our favorite places to go are Destin, Florida -- Nashville, Tennessee and Gruene, Texas. We like to snow ski but it seems we just don't go as hard at it as we use to. Eight years ago we had a foreign exchange student, her name is Deborah Schubert and we still stay in contact with her. We have gone to Germany to visit her and she has been back to America once. This summer her Mom and Dad and Deborah are coming to spend a week with us in the big metroplex of Leonard, TX, population 1846.
