Kelly's Story
Sheeze! Has it been more than 30 years since Florence High? Strange how fast time flys!
In a nutshell: Graduated (in Chapel Hills Texas) after 2 years at Florence and one at South High in Pueblo - Colorado will always be my home. Joined the USAF and saw the world for 5 years (mostly Japan).
Returned to the good ¿ol USA and worked as an electrical engineer for a couple of years then decided to go back to school for a career in aviation.
Anyone who knew me always thought my head was in the clouds - I loved everything aviation and had a dream to be a pilot for as long as I can remember. With a bit of training and a lot of money, I finally was living the dream as a commercial pilot and flight instructor at the University of North Dakota and lived in Grand Forks for 6 years working as faculty (Manager of the Flight Simulation Facility and Staff Flight instructor).

ia for 2 ½ years to pay back all that flight training (makes ya appreciate living in America!). When I returned from Saudi, I worked as a flight test engineer in San Antonio, Texas for a couple of years.
I always wanted to have my own business and finally in 2000 I started Air Matrix ¿ Flight test and aviation software. Had a blast with that until 2006 when it got too expensive to maintain a big twin engine airplane (the best Commander 560A in the world), write software, and manage 8 employees. I was working about 70 hours a week and barely surviving.
I ended up going back to engineering and currently work on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner as a liaison Systems Engineer. I maintain my flight instructing and flying whenever possible.
I love hunting, flying, sport bikes, and anything else that goes fast or high.
