attended a few grade schools (Richmond Elementary, Laurelhurst, Floyd Light & Vestal) before graduating in 1981 at James Madison High School. Met my husband, Ernie, shortly after graduation and got married on Aug. 1, 1987! I was hired at Jantzen, Inc. on Sandy Blvd. as a Word Processor operator/typist. Stayed there close to three years. Opened our own business in '83 called The Batter's Box on 122nd & Powell Blvd. Went out of business a year later. Then took the best trip ever to Hawaii (Waikiki) in '84. We welcomed our daughter, Jessica, into the world in '87 and another baby girl, Samantha, in '90. Became a full-time mom and homemaker until the kids were in their teens. Worked for Materials Management doing data entry for a year or so and haven't been successful finding another job since! Wrote some poetry that got published in 2006. Became a board member of a non-profit peace organization that my best friend started which allowed me to travel a little and visiting places like Aspen, Colorado and Taos, New Mexico. Became a grandma on New Years Eve 2009. Her name is Kaylie Jayde. She is the happiest and sweetest little girl ever! Life has been good to me so far.".
