Kelly's Story

My mother is still in San Diego and I visit sometimes. I live in Brooklyn, New York, teach Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, and work as an artist. I have been a quilt artist since 1987, and recently began watercolor painting. My husband, Sat Jagat Singh, has a contracting business specializing in renovating old houses, and also teaches yoga. My grown son, James, lives in Costa Mesa, and my younger son, Hari Simran Singh, is graduating from Adelphi University in Long Island this ...Expand for more
year. James has two children, Jake (14) and Michele (9). I moved to New York in 1973 to study design. I met my spiritual teacher, Yogi Bhajan, and my future husband, through my Bay Park friend, Sylvia Salisbury (now Sat Jivan Kaur Khalsa.) We have served the yoga commnity in NYC for many years. She runs a center in Manhattan and my husband and I direct the ashram and yoga center in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn. Blessings to all. Look me up when you are in New York.
