Kema's Story
After graduating, I went to Missouri, to visit my dad and family. I ended up staying and marrying Tony. Tony and I were divorced a year later. I've never remarried. I came back to Washington briefly in 1982 and then in 1983, when my oldest son Nathan, now 28, was 6 months old, we moved to NE. To live with his father, Al. 7 years later, Al and I had another son, David, now 20. During this time I started college and finished 3 years of my teaching degree.Al and I split up and I moved to Mo. near my dad and brothers.I raised my boys...Expand for more
and about 8 years ago, Scott moved in with me.During that time, I've substituted at the local high school. The largest class here runs about 20-25 students. Small when you compare this to the size of our graduating class, there's such a big difference. For the last 2 years I've been the split shift cook at a nursing home,and I helped take care of my dad when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. He passed away last Sept. I don't get out much as Scott was recently diagnosed with resipitory failure.we basically take one day at a time.
