Update 11 Sep 2012: One solid year in the desert southwest, and I win a sweepstakes that takes me to NYC....and I am not taking that return flight....will be back in Washington later today. John Anthony dies 25 Aug 2012, I find out when I get a linkedin message....Beryl Anthony dies 2 Feb 2012, and I find out 5 weeks later while doing genealogical research...up pops the obituary.... Update 16 Feb 2011: I have been in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico since just after New years. I will have to bribe my way into the interior, and that so far has been difficult. I decided to return to Toluca, Mexico, after finding and meeting my natural family, pending emigration to Israel. Washington, DC was definately wearing, and I needed to get back to work. Being stuck here in the land of the decapitated head though was not what I had in mind. A shooting happened about 80 ft from my bed, just outside my place. at 1:20 AM...in late January...2 nights ago, at 11:14 PM, I walked outside and down my stairs and saw a masked, fully uniformed soldier unlatching my door bars (stupidly not locked)....he slunk off quietly when he saw me, jumping back on the back of the pick-ups that they convoy in with the lights off....methinks it was a desire for a whiz.... Update 08/11/2010: Have met my sister Amy (Bayari) in Truckee, California, along with her daughters. Nifty! She looks remarkably like Janice Houston of Belle Aire School in Downers Grove, Illinois... Update 08/07/2010: Went to Los Angeles and met my 1st cousin, Margot Michelman for the 1st time, and got lots of stories and photos. This womens' mother was very close with my grandmother and was baby-sat by my mother. Update 06/02/2010: Finally met my brother Roy Howard, in Deposit, New York!
