Kenneth S's Story
Life
After graduating from Snohomish High School in June, 1966, I attended Seattle Pacific College for one year before enlisting in the Navy in August, 1971. I was assigned to Patrol Squadron (VP) 4 in Barbers Point, Hawaii. I made three Westpac deployments, twice to Iwakuni, Japan and one to Adak, Alaska. I was a radio operator on the Navy's P-3 Orion aircraft.
After leaving the service in August, 1971, I moved to Kennewick, WA and married Margaret Sanders. I attended Columbia Basin College in Pasco, then graduated from Eastern Washington State in Cheney in 1974. I graduated with a degree in accounting and eventually passed the CPA exam and worked for 10 years in public accounting. I have held a number of positions over the last 30 years, including a budget analyst at Hanford, a Financial Manager for a multi-office Architect/Engineering firm and two years as a professor of Accounting at Northwest Nazar...Expand for more

My wife Marty and I have three sons. Matthew, born in 1973, is married and has three children,. He sells for Keebler cookies and crackers and lives in nearby Benton City. Number two son Marc got married in February,2000, and after a brief period of living in Bend, OR has moved back to the Tri-Cities area to work with his father-in-law farming potatoes. He and his wife Monica live about 35 miles east of Richland. They presently have one child, Ashley Evelyn. Our youngest son, Jonathan, is still at home and works part-time for the Pasco School District.
I am presently Self employed as an accountant/consultant. This is a new venture for me, but working for the governement wasn't working, so at the ripe old age of 54, I am trying to start over in a "new" career. Marty is on the pastoral staff of the Cathedral of Joy, where we have attended for all 30 plus years of our married life.
