Life
Hi friends,
Although I left Bx Science to become the next great marine biologist, after calculus and chemistry I ended up an English teacher. Taught high school outside Albany for a few years, and met the lovely Patricia Dunn in graduate school at SUNY Albany along the way, and we married in 1991 and remain happily so. She's a bit too pretty for me, and we look a little too much like the couple in the King of Queens. se. We got Teddy-the-dog in '94, and he's alive still running around like a puppy, but we found out recently he has an enormous tumor on his liver and his days are numbered. Patty and I taught at Illinois State U in Normal, IL for 6 years. In 2003, we moved to Stony Brook University on Long Island, where we are now on the faculty in English Teacher Education. I direct the program. I wonder what Mrs. Simmons, Mr. Patrick, Mr. Smith, and Ms. Rinehardt would think about the fact that I now make English teachers for a living now?
