Ken's Story
BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
Reverend Kenneth Pickens was born to (the late) Roosevelt and Mittie Pickens in March of 1960 in Chicago, Illinois, and he is the second of three children. Brother Pickens is married to the former Beata Nancine Weaver, and has two children, Cierra and Rev. Jamaal. He is currently a member of the First Baptist Church of Versailles, Kentucky where the Reverend Dr. Floyd Greene is the Pastor. He prefers to be called "Ken"; and he initially accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior in February 1989. He eventually experienced his calling to the ministry in April 1991 and was licensed in August of that same year, followed by being ordained in February 2006 by the First Baptist Church-Versailles.
As a servant of the LORD, GodâÂÂs grace has helped him to discover his place within the âÂÂBody of Christâ in a number of ways:

⢠He has prepared a Manual entitled, Church Ordination Examination: Preparation Materials, which has been recommended for publication.
He has attended Asbury Bible College, and he has ministered to several employees in a weekly bible fellowìship at Toyota for nearly fifteen years. GOD has blessed him as of November, 2010 start his own business called GENESIS Properties of Kentucky, LLC, which is yet another opportunity to be a blessing someone in the name of the LORD.
He strongly believes GodâÂÂs Word, and he is especially moved by â¦
2 Tim 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of the truth.
Most importantly, he is a born again, spirit-filled, baptized believer, and disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, who finds joy in serving God, until the Lord says, âÂÂWell doneâÂÂ.
