Here a frequent visitor to my back door. It's an Anna's Hummingbird, a species that doesn't leave Oregon to winter over in Mexico. I need help deciding a name for him/her.
Here's a new guy that has just started visiting on a regular basis. Yesterday I saw a rufus that's back from Mexico early.
Does anyone out there know what this is? It's growing on the branch of a rododendrum!

an enula magnifica. This plant is sometimes called a wild sunflower. It grows for
to 6 feet tall with bright yellow flowers up to 6 inches wide
