Ken's Story
I graduated in June of '73 and enlisted in the Army August 15th of '73. I married JoAnn Knutson (Steve's little sister) Feb. 9, 1974, we still put up with each other. We had two boys, who both went to Marcus Whitman and graduated from South.They have given us 3 grandchildren between them.
I got out of the Army in June 1976, after serving in the Artillery at Ft. Lewis for two years and an 8 month scenic vacation in the Republic of Korea.
I worked for PSNS in the electric shop from '78 to '84. I stayed out of shipyards for 5 years, working a wide variety of job...Expand for more
s such as farmhand, personal attendant for a quadriplegic guy, making oil filters, working in a pawn shop and doing landscaping work. I went back to working as a marine electrician in 1989, have been getting paid to twist wires together ever since. I plan to retire 2/10/2020, the day I turn 65 years old.
I am a Life Member of the NRA and the VFW, and a 20 year member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 46, Seattle.
A final thought: Remember that the toes you step on today may very well be attached to the ass you have to kiss tomorrow!
