Ken's Story

After drifting a bit and getting tired of college I dropped out and looked for productive employment in The Tri-Cities; not! I dated a few local girls until Cousin Bill Hutcherson and his girl set me up a date with Diane Shively; we've been dating ever since. We were married June 3, '66, still are in fact, as this is being entered, some 48-years later Spent almost 7-years in the US Army Security Agency in Crypto equipment repair first in Korea, arriving there after being married to Diane for 27-days on July 4, '67. Reassigned to Germany where I did inspections of crypto installations, I covered all of Europe, SW Asia (Iran) the Middle East and North Africa. Dee went with me and traveled a lot until Kevin arrived when we were living in Augsburg, Ger deep in Bavaria. We arrived in Aug, '67 and the first place we went was Berlin in Oct. '67. I have a picture of her standing in front of the Berlin Wall with the Brandenburg Gate behind her. Kevin was born in Augsburg in '68, Kristy in Eden, '72. Kevin and Abbie have four, Hannah, Benjamin, Jordan and Christian., ...Expand for more
Kristy and Mitch (now divorced) has three, Sean, Evan, and Logan. Keven in head of Audio R & D for Cisco Systems in Plano, TX, lives in Frisco, TX, 46-miles to our east and Kristy lives near Argyle, TX about 45-min away and her boys are with Mitch in Hilton Head but come to Texas on summer vacation and on Christmas. Dee and I own and operate Delta Marine Environmental Technologies, LLC where I design and build our exclusive leading-edge Chem-Free Marine Ozone Systems for mega-yachts, research vessels and large fishing vessels. We founded the business in Fort Lauderdale in 1993 and moved to Texas in 2003 after getting very tired of living in the midst of 7-millioon people in SE Florida. We bought a small horse property in Wise County, TX where only 67,000 people live. We can see only one other home, only in Winter when the trees are bare; quiet as a tomb and so dark we can see the Milky Way, especially on a moonless night. The house is never locked, nor is my shop and the truck/car keys are always hanging in the ignition; sorta' like Leaksville/Eden in the 60s.
