Ken's Story

Life is interesting and ever-changing. I thank God and the Universe for that. Otherwise, I would be the same person I was, way back when. I have found that change is evolutionary - continuous change is a good thing. To say the least, much in my life is changed; I have changed for the greater good, so I have been told. With all the evidence that I have experienced over the years, I would have to agree. Some 20 years ago I was diagnosed with a long-term, chronic illness. At the time, it was a death sentence. With medical advances and increased awareness and understanding I am still living a pretty decent life. For the last four years I have dealt with the toughest battle anyone could face - a battle for my life. Twelve doctors in Los Angeles said it was my long-term chronic illness coming into play. Somehow I knew, instinctually, there was something else that was effecting me. Finally, in 2007 I met a doctor in Nashville who literally saved my life. If I have learned anything in this life (and sometimes it was a hard lesson learned,) it is to: Love yourself and put yourself first, otherwise you cannot be of service to anyone else. And, allow yourself to be loved ...Expand for more
and to love! Love is definitely what our crises-filled world needs above all else. Also, do small things for others - the small things are often ¿big things¿ for others. Be grateful for every day of life - approach it with an attitude of gratitude. And, don't believe the experts, even if they are the so-called "experts". Trust your own mind-body connection and your own instincts. Finally, treat others the way you wish to be treated. Karma is a wonderful thing - everything you contribute to this incredible life experience comes back to you multiplied - whether your input is positive or negative. I like to escape and commune with nature. If I can do it with someone I love and who loves me, even better. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have confidence, knowledge, and a willingness to learn to be able to deal with the day-to-day. If I won $100 million, I'd give 100,000 in trust of it to my great-niece Haive; she's 2yrs old, then spend the rest on my expenses, my family and friends and charitable organizations. My best friend would tell you I'm outgoing - wild and crazy, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as conservative/reserved.
