Kendra's Story
Life
I live in Nashville, Tennessee with my fiance Patrick who is a bass player. I met Pat in '94 and moved here in '95. We own a home about 10 minutes from downtown. I have five "babies". A wolf/chow mix, two toy poodles, a ragdoll/persian cat and a solid black cat. I also foster a lot of animals. In my free time I sometimes volunteer with a veterinarian friend of mine doing spay/neuter clinics, and vaccinations. Due to health reasons, I've had to stop work as a full time veterinary technician. I do plan on going back to college to finish getting my degree to be a licensed vet tech. After doing that for a couple of years, I'm going to go back for my doctorates in veterinary medicine. As of now, I work for Regis Corporation as manager. Even though I hate country music, Nashville is a pretty cool place to live. There are a lot of killer rock groups that come through that I get to go see. I miss absolutely nothing about Hillsville. I hate that place. However, I do miss Fancy Gap, the Parkway, and The New River. I can only tolerate being home for a couple of days, but I get homesick for here. Patrick and I will most likely never have children. Which is cool because we are too busy with our lives to deal with kids. It's nice to be able to just pick up and go without having to deal with a kid, or worry about a babysitter because I'm going out and won't be home until 4 am. That's a little more hassle than necessary. Nothing against kids mind you, I love them, just as long as they belong to someone else. For fun Patrick and I hang out at the lake on the boat with friends and/or go fishing, or ride our Harley with several friends who have Harleys. We like do a lot of outdoor activities such as hike trails, and take the dogs down to the lake to swim and so they can chase the ducks and geese. So, like I said before my life isn't what I thought it would be, by any means, it's a million times better.
