Kendra's Story
I've been with my husband, Aaron, for 20 years. We're still deeply in love & always will be. Aaron is 9 years younger than me which is perfect because we have the same mentality because I'll never grow up!
Aaron & I have 1 daughter named Ciara, whose now 16. I also have a son named Michael Dwain Basterash ("Dwain" after my Dad) whose 28 years old.
I live in the same house I grew up in, in Tara Hills. My Dad passed away 13 years ago & left us our house.
Ever since I was 8 years old I knew that I wanted to work with computers & do secretarial work. I fulfilled that dream...I was a secretary, data entry clerk, computer operator...I worked for the Chevron Refinery, Richmond School Dist in the Payroll office, & a few more places.
For those of you who didn't know this about me, I got pregnant in our senior year so Ms. Dunkleburger kicked me out of school. I ended up getting my diploma from Martinez Adult School. I walked across the Adult Schools' stage & graduated 3 months before you guys did. (Big stomach & all!)
I always knew I wanted to be a Mom. I've been doing nothing but being a mom. I haven't worked since 1992. I was lucky to be able to devote my entire life to raising my kids. And having that opportunity proved to be the best decision of my life. I raised 2 of ...Expand for more
the most wonderful kids who have good manners, are generous, kind-hearted, have a good head on their shoulders...but most important of all, they are both animal-lovers!!
For the past year I've had an outside job working for a nice lady whenever I feel like working. I work any hours, any days...the perfect job & she pays WELL!
There's not much else to tell...everything pretty much stays the same with me & I like it that way.
The one person from school that I would most like to get in touch with is Pamela Hathaway. She was a really nice person. I miss her. If anyone knows where she is, please tell her to come to Classmates. Thanks!
My Dad & I were so close. No 2 people could ever be closer than we were. When he died I was devastated. The worst part of it all was the fact that he died ON MY BIRTHDAY! That sucked. I don't think I'll ever have a good birthday again.
4 months after my dad died, my middle sister, Lorna died. She was only 39. Within 3 years of Lorna, my oldest sister, Janice died. She was only 42. My mom just passed away this Nov. 1. I'm ok though. A life begins, a life ends...nothing you can do about it. Just live your life like you may not be here tomorrow & make sure you've been good to people.
I'd really like all my old friends to get a hold of me. I miss you!
