Kenneth's Story
Life
I live in Basking Ridge with my wife, 2 boys (13 and 16) 6 Samoyeds (sled dogs) a chuhuahua (may have spelled that wrong)2 cats and a horse (which is luckily kept at a stable). Fur is a prominent feature in my home. I own a business (1-800-PACK-RAT). Had worked in the financial industry for over 20 years (too long me thinks) and life is good.
My favorite drink is a G&T (Beefeaters) with lemon, though I never turn down a beer or glass of wine and a good glass of port is a close second.
My favorite food is still pizza though my second favorite is just about any kind of seafood (but I also like a good steak)
I like to play golf and ski (I may try to snowboard someday-my kids do-but it took me so long to master sking, I think I will stick with it for a while and I am not sure my bum could stand change).
I like to go to my cottage in Canada (just south of Alogonquin Provinvial Park in Northern Ontario) on Big Straggle Lake. Its a very modest affair but I do have a great dock and enjoy boating, fishing, wakeboarding, wrestling bears, etc. Not to mention just looking up at the stars (there are many more in the sky up there).
I'm not sure if there is an after life, but plan to be buried with an extra pair of underwear--just in case.
That's it. Nothing exotic. I still have hair, my paunch is kept to a minimum (most of the ti...Expand for more
me) and I am still a lousy dancer, but I move really well.
School
Boones Farm Apple Wine. Nuff said.
College
Went to Trenton State College for 2 years. Had alot of fun. (Its a prominent school now, not so much when I attended). Got good grades (did better grade-wise in college than I ever did in high school--go figure). Made lots of friends and enjoyed living away for the first time.
Took a year off to find myself. I found other peoples selves, but not mine. So I went to Rutgers College and graduated in 77 with a degree in Psycology and Journalism.
Got a Masters degree in "Theoretical Dysfunction" from the Lumbard School of Unusual Subjects (LSUS)
My dad taught me how to throw a curve ball
Workplace
Worked in the financial industry for over 20 years (Merrill Lynch and UBS). Went from cubicles to offices. Mostly fun but alot of corporate rigamarole. decided to escape and start my own business (its a 1-800-PACK-RAT franchise in Branchburg, Nj, just opened Jan 07. Having fun and doing well. Now I have a big old warehouse to hang out in.
Military
Wasn't in the military. My lottery number was below 200 as I recall but never got drafted. I am not a fan of the war in Iraq (as a political or strategic necessity) but I respect and appreciate those who serve and those who have sacrificed their lives and health.
