Ken's Story
Life
If you're reading this, thanks for taking the time to look me up.
I lived on Jackson Avenue in Magnolia from almost when I was born until 1977 - I went to Magnolia Public, graduated in '76 and then onto Sterling High, graduating in 1980. I ran cross-country and track, and I remember getting creamed in "Bombardment" regularly since I guess it's just funny to see a skinny kid lose his glasses. I also used to play in a rock band called Dreams in high school.
In 1980 I moved to W. Collingswood Hts, NJ and started attending Philadelphia College of Art - I graduated with a BFA in Graphic Design and started doing print design and production work. Around 1986 I also played in a band named "Trained Attack Dogs", which received college radio play and let me travel a bitÂ
(If you google +"trained attack dogs" +rave, you'll find my site with some of my music on it...)
After several years of working in the newspaper trade, medical publishing and running a digitally-based free-lance studio, I started working for The University of the Arts Academic Computing department in 1990, where I am currently employed.
I was married...Expand for more
briefly from 1991 until 1996, we had no children. My former wife was Navajo and I was then very interested in Native American culture - I had the opportunity to visit the Navajo Nation in Arizona for a few weeks in 1988. I returned to Northern Arizona in 1997 for several months and considered a permanent move out west, but the thought of missing my family and friends ultimately brought me back east.
In 2000 I met a wonderful woman named Nancy. She is a choreographer and College Professor, and danced professionally with Philadanco, a renowned dance company.
I attended the Sterling High Class of Â80 Reunion in 2000 Â it was interesting to see how some people have changed, how many were very much the same even after all of that time... I hope that everybody has been able to find the things for them that make life enjoyable.
For those of you who remember my family, my Mom is enjoying retirement these days; my father passed away in 1998 while living in Florida.
If youÂve read this far, thanks for taking the time  if youÂd like to drop me a line to say hello, please feel free  it would be nice to hear from you.
