Kenneth's Story

The thumbnail sketch: -- After graduating Miami Jackson HS, 4 years in Cambridge, MA, at MIT; SB degree in Economics (1973). -- Went on to UPENN, in Philadelphia; graduated with a Ph.D. in Economics, 1979. -- Concurrent with enrollment a UPENN, started working part-time, eventually full-time at First Pennsylvania Bank, in the Economics Department. Circa 1981, became its Chief Economist - the youngest chief economist at a major bank in America. -- Met current wife, Gail Bassok (attorney, UPENN graduate, and Law School) while working at the Bank; married in 1984. The first son, David, born in 1986. -- After 15 years in Philly, moved to Cleveland, Ohio to become Chief ...Expand for more
Economist of the bigger bank, Society National Bank (later, KeyBank). -- Second son, Scott, born in 1989. -- After 11 years at SNB/KeyBank, left in 2000 and started ClearView Economics, LLC -- At ClearView Economics, LLC, won three separate awards for "Best Economic/Business Forecaster" in the US. -- "Mostly" retired in 2017. -- Currently resides in Vero Beach, FL, and Alpine WY. -- Enjoys all types of fishing (inshore, offshore, flyfishing), gardening, and watercolor painting. -- Politics: mostly conservative and libertarian; and digs conspiracy stories: "There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” Shakespeare, Hamlet.
