Following graduation from high school, I tried college for a couple of years studying electrical engineering, but left college and joined the Navy entered into the nuclear power program with emphasis on electronics and controls. I really enjoyed what I was doing in the Navy and decided to make a career out of the service. Upon joining I spent the first two years in schooling for the power program. Served on four different submarines, both fast attack and ballistic missile. Additionally did two instructor tours teaching electronics and reactor principles at nuclear power school. Stationed in Pearl Harbor, Orlando, Charleston, and Kings Bay, Ga. I found the program to be very challenging and enjoyed working with a great group of people. After I retired from the naval service, I went to work with Siemens Energy, Inc. Siemens is a worldwide company with about 300,000 employees worldwide.
