Ken's Story
I've lived in Bloomington, IL since October of 1975. My wife, Julie, and I have been married since April, 1981 and we have three children.
Marc, born in 1983, graduated from Illinois State University in 2005 and married Gina in 2006. Marc & Gina had their first child and our first grandchild, named James, on Father's Day in 2009. Marc was also born on Father's Day in 1983. They have two other children, Jonathan and Grace, and are hoping to finalize the adoption of a baby girl in 2017.
Shari, born in 1985, is married to Tom Robertshaw. They live in Bath, England..
Amy, born in 1986, is home with her three children and works part-time jobs, as time allows. She is married to 'Augie' Augustine Kim since April of 2009. Augie works in the Chicago suburbs for a logistics company, Amy & Augie have three children; Will, Hadie, and Rose.

from pre-school to their college years. I started a direct hire staffing firm in 1982, which evolved to a mostly temporary staffing firm in 1994. It's called Abbey Placements LLC. Both Julie and my son, Marc, work in the business. Marc is the General Manager and we plan for him to own the business after I retire.
Julie and I are very involved with international students at several of the local colleges, including ISU and Heartland. We have weekly dinners on most Fridays in our home for them. We love to travel, and have been able to do more of it since we became 'empty-nesters'. We have traveled to Europe, China, and India where we have been able to visit with many dear friends and their families.
I have a lot of memories from high school and college and appreciate many of the friendships and experiences that I had. Best wishes to any who are reading this.
