Kenneth's Story
Life
After graduating from high school and attending college for a few years I migrated to tropical Southeastern Michigan. I have lived in the Detroit area for 31 years.
In 1973 I married a woman that worked for the same company that I did. We had two children. Twenty-five years later we decided to go our separate ways.
In 1999 I married again. Her name is Barbara. Yep, Ken and Barbie. Together we have four kids and six grandkids. Being a grandparent is great.
My daughter, Kelly, graduated from EMU and works as a physical trainer. My son, Mike, enlisted in the Army after high school and served 2 years in the states and 4 years in Italy. He is now home and working for, of all people, his mother.
My grandkids, 4 girls and 2 boys, range in age from 10 months to 7 yea...Expand for more
rs. The two boys were born Mar. 6th and 8th last year in the same hospital.
Both Barb and I work fulltime. That's a requirement with six grandkids.
Barb and I travel whenever we can. Our goal is to travel to as many differnet places as possible. We have a long way to go.
Workplace
Since moving to the Detroit area I have held several positions. They include restaurant management, banquet hall management, lawn care managment, inside & outside sales postions and my current position.
I have been with my present employer since 1989. The company is privately owned and has been in business for almost 70 years. Like any job, it has had its ups and downs. But the people are good to work for.
It is my hope to make this my last stop on the full time employment circuit.
