Kent's Story
Life
Ok, anyone interested, my wife, Lisa, and I have six daughters, ages 13, 11, 9, 7, 5, and 2; can anyone out there beat that(especially the consistency)?! After high school I crammed four years of college into a little over seven; I finally graduated from Fresno State in 1979 or 1980 and then went to Chico State for a teaching credential (in 1981). I taught for 14 years (including 4 great years in Honduras, in Christian-run bilingual academy) and was even a "suit" (consultant) for the Fresno County Office of Education from 2000 to 2003. In 2003 I was "encouraged to voluntarily separate" (I coined that term; cutesy for "Don't let the door hit you on the way out"!) and at that point I went into landscaping, a skill I picked up along the way...Expand for more
of life (in my "Chico Years").
For those of you who remember my close friend and co-captain on the soccer team, Brian McCartney, our first daughter was named in honor and memory of him: Brianna (ok, it was the first girl name right after "Brian" in a Names Book, so it made sense).
In 1994 we moved back to the states and settled in Fresno. Our first house was just south of Barstow right by good ol' Hoover High. We lived there until we outgrew it, and in 2003 we moved to Kingsburg.
I would love to hear from "all y'alls" (I picked up a second language while in Honduras: Southern!)

(P.S. Lisa and I were the cheerleader coaches/sponsors the year Brianna was born; isn't that a hoot?)
