Kent's Story
"It's a dangerous business, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."
One of my favorite quotes from a book I read in high school. Some of you may recognize it.
I don'ÃÂÃÂt know what I was expecting in life when I left Crowley High but it was nothing like this.
In 1979 I was lucky enough to get a good Job at GD. So I started working for a living, got married, and moved to Arlington. The good job at GD played out after 15 years; I got laid off with about 20,000 other people there. But I am still married to the same girl after 33 years and still in Arlington. We have 2 kids, both grown now.

ntinue to support my family. Business computer networking was the hot thing at the time so I learned it. Those hard times paid off, the skills learned have provided a good living for 15+ years now.
One of the kids has been married for 5 year now, no grandkids. :-(
I donâÃÂÃÂt know if I will ever get the other kid married off. :-)
Have I changed much? I think so. I have seen a lot of things in this life journey to show just how sheltered things were for us at Crowley High. I think we are here for life to teach us things we need to learn. Sometimes we learn the easy way, if that does not work life teachs us the hard way. I know I wish I paid more attention when life was offering the easy lessons.
I have had enough adventures getting here, at this stage I am looking forward to retiring and enjoying the golden years. :-)
