Kerlena's Story
Since graduating from Shiprock High School in 1978; I got married to a wonderful man name William Tso. He passed away in 1997 and have three wonderful daughters. Then I remarried in 2004 to Edward Silverhatband and have 12 wonderful grandchildren. I'm very proud of them all. I can't believe it too. I work at Shiprock Chapter House as a Community Health Representative, member of Health Board for Shiprock Northern Medical Center, member of Indian Education Committee for Central Consolidated School and Advisory Board Member for RIOS Net for Albuquerque University of New Mexico. I'm pretty active with the Shiprock Community and keeping busy with my grandchildren.

ld days from Shiprock High and my dearest best friend Julia (MOZ) Begay Redhouse. I see my old classmates now and then. I hope my friends remember me as a basketball and volleyball player.
Married right after high school and have three beautiful daughters. I'm a Community Health Worker for the Navajo Nation CHR Program. I have nine grandchildren and they keep me pre-occupied and adore them! I'm involved with the Indian Education Committee for the Central Consolidated Schools, Health Board for NNMC, actively involved with Restoring & Celebrating Family Wellness and RIOS Net for UNM Family Clinic. I'm happy to give back to the community and pretty involved with my grandchildren activities too.
