Kevin's Story
In high school I became a Jesus Freak, which will explain part of my further education. From high school I went on to college at SAC and Southern California College. I received my masters degree in Christian theology at Fuller Theological Seminary and my Ph.D. from Vanderbilt in religion. While at Vanderbilt I left the Christian faith and am happily an agnostic today. it in order to take care of her, three of the best years of my life. Although she suffered from dementia her default was always hospitality and kindness. Plus she had a wonderful sense of humor. I received a small inheritance from my father when he passed away so I' was able to take three years off for research and writing on the nineteenth-century vampire. I then retired from teaching. I've written over thirty articles on it. I had my first book published on the subject: in 2021: The Tale of the Living Vampyre: New Directions in Vampire Studies. It incorportates eleven of my articles.
