Kevin's Story

Life Hey All, I just wrapped up 26.9 years of military service and have said goodbye to the US Army. I won't hide the fact that I did not want to leave but my time was up and it was time to enjoy a normal family life. I will certainly miss the action, adventure, comradeship and closeness of the Special Operations community. I have been very fortunate to experience the best of the Army with Special Forces (Green Berets) and Ranger units, the elite and best of the best. I have truly been fortunate to have lasted this long and remain in one piece. It has been difficult at times losing friends, but that is what we have been paid to do. I will still remain here in Stuttgart Germany working for the US Army's Special Operations Command Europe, as a civilian contractor. ars ago and have one son. My wife, Tatiana is from Moscow Russia and works as a Marketing Manager for HP, we have a wonderful 4 year old son, Nikolai. We are very happy here in the Black Forest Region of Germany, but will most likely return to Farmington one of these years. Yes, its sounds boring after seeing much of the world, but I certainly hope to do so if the opportunity arises. My main goal is to ensure my son has the opportunity to speak several languages and that is best accomplished by living here. I have also just completed my first book which hopefully will be out later this year. Its a military book and I have spent the last 5 years researching and writing it. Its the true story of a German tank regiment in WWII. Yes I still love my military history, regardless of the side, its all history to me.
