Kevin's Story
Life
Lifes good I retired after many years working with and
for the military. I chose to settle in Florida we have wonderful
weather here if you can get by the hurricanes. I have a 97 Honda
Valkarie motorcycle, leathers to go with. I live with my long time
partner Chub the cat. He's getting old and bony at 17 and
i don't think he'll make many more summers. Other than him I live
alone. My daughter has enlisted in the US Army and is currently
taking basic training in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO.she graduates from AIT
7 Sept 06. Come on down to the graduation eremony I'll be there my
older sister Kathleen will be there as well.
I purchased an archery, gun, and rod license this year...Expand for more
so i will get to hunt
hog, deer, turkey and fish as much as the work/job allows. Like I said life
is good.
Military
I enlisted in the US Army Sep 68. went to germany late 68, sent to Viet Nam 69 & was returned to Germany in 70. Upon my 50th birthday I had spent 29 years there, both as a soldier and civilian. The last 10 years I spent working for European Stars & Stripes,the soldiers newspaper, in Darmstadt. Winters got to dark to early,and were wet & cold. I got a chance to visit Florida liked the climate gave up my working european vacation & moved. So here I am now. Oh yes I retired with 22 years service from The US Army in 90 as a Sergeant First Class.
