Kevin's Story

Life Well, it's been a while since any of you have seen me. A lot has happened in my life since then. I went to LSU for 3.5 years, only to have concentrated in drinking beer. Went to Nichols for one semester, then I got my girl pregnant: time to get married. This is 1991. I worked as a deputy for 1.5 years in D'ville, then I got tired of being poor, so I quit and moved away. Off to Morganza, in Pointe Coupee parish. I didn't want to move away, but I've got a wife now, so it's time to compromise. Katie's from St. Francisville. I wanted to stay on the west bank, thus the compromise: move to an area just across the river from St. Francisville. I got a job as a service writer for New Roads Motors that lasted four months. Customer service is not my sack of crawfish. Then I went to work for Nan Ya Plastics for four years, making flexible plastic film: like waterbed material and wall "paper" Anyway, I worked there for four years and worked part time for the Pointe Coupee Sheriff. By this time, I had a one year old daughte...Expand for more
r, Caroline, and a new son, Ted. As the kids neared school age, we decide to move to St. Francisville for the superior public schools. We sold our small home in Morganza and moved to four acres and a trailer on the east bank. In 1997, I left the plastics plant and got a job at the local paper mill. In 2002, I sold the land and trailer and bought a cabin on two lots on Lake Rosemound, just south of the state line. It's great and beautiful, all at the same time. In 2003, it ends between Katie and me. Soon, I meet Heather Vitter, and like deja vu, she's pregnant. We wed in 2004. In November, Hannah is born. By now, Caroline is 12, and Ted is 11. Now, it's January 2006, and Molly, my fourth child, is due for birth in two weeks. She'll be my last offspring, I swear. Also, I'm back in school at University of Phoenix, studying Criminal Justice with my sights on Law school. I'm tired of the blue collar gigs and want to work in the air conditioning. Also, all these kids are going to require more money than a papermaker earns.
