because it keeps me involved in the games and I've been able to meet a great deal of good folks in my leagues and groups. And because home computers have become prevalent in the last decade I've been able to reconnect with folks I've lost touch with over the years, including my brother and sister. The downside to this is that by connecting online we're becoming more insulated and isolated. Although I'm a computer guy and make my living because of these machines, I'm not sure that's a good thing. When I was a kid we were outdoors all day--playing sports, riding bikes, or just hanging out with friends--but kids today don't do that, and I think it's sad. Even though these networking sites allow us to connect I would like to strengthen that connection by visiting through other means, by phone or face-to-face, and I hope that is something that we can realize in the coming year.".
