Kevin's Story
After SCHS, I attended CSM for two more years, got my AA, and then took a break for a year before moving on to Portland, OR where I attended college for two more years. I had planned to become an educator, but, when I saw that a teaching certificate required one more year of college (that's 5 years total) and when I got out I was going to earn less than almost any other career I could think of, I decided to end it after 4 years.
Moved back to Redwood City in 1978 and started working in IT (Information Technology) in 1979, which is where I've been ever since. But I moved back to Portl...Expand for more
and in 1986, and contracted all over the country (Charlotte, NC, Washington, D.C. and other spots), ending up in the Seattle region in 1991.
Currently, I'm an IT contractor (I do a lot of Project Management work for Microsoft) and own 2 businesses (one for online marketing and the other is a publishing firm). I'll be publishing my first book this summer (2008) and plan to continue doing more of that.
