Kim's Story

Life WOW! How time flies by. I am married to the most wonderful woman. I married Mary Delaney (Santa Ynez, class of 74) and we have almost 30 great years together. Doctor's said we wouldn't have children but thanks to a powerful encounter and touch from God we have four wonderful children(ages 26 to 17), two girls and two boys. Over the past few years I have also discovered the delight of becoming a Grandfather to two busy boys. I gave my heart and life to Jesus Christ in '72, which many of my classmates did as well. I have never regreted that decision. After high school it was two years at Hancock and then finishing up at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a busniess degree. After 10 years in accounting I switched fields and became a minister. Mary and I co-pastor a church in the Redding, CA area which we established 15 years ago. It has been my joy as Mary and I have partnered together to care for the local congregation, as well as travel Internationally to England, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Mexico, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Japan; where we teach and minister the empowering life of an intimate walk with Jesus to Bible colleges, churches and conferences. We minister throughout the United States as well. It has also been my delight to have some of our children minister along side us. Mary and I have co-authored three books called "For Freedom Sake," "The Sustaining Power of a Seeking Heart," and "The Sustaining Power of a Pro...Expand for more
sperous Soul." We are currently working on a Forth book and I am working on a workbook for new believers. In recent years we've seen amazing healings (miraculous stuff like people with injuries and debilitating diseases restored instantly by God before our very eyes), messed up lives restored, marriages renewed, and people with incredibly sad backgrounds and childhoods set free. My life has been filled with both great struggles and great victories as well...all which I could not have done without the support of a loving wife and the living reality of a great God who loves us and never leaves us. One of our more recent joys has been the turn around of my 81 year old parents, who shocked the heck out of us when they gave their hearts to Jesus just three years ago. They have since moved up to where we live and are active members in our congregation, reaching out to the less fortunate and going around praying for the in-firmed. My dad's constant regret is that he didn't turn his life over to Christ sooner.....he has truely experience the joy of walking with God in a oh, so personal and loving way. It has been awesome to see my Mom, hand over her heart, singing praises to God. They have both made such extraordinary changes, even in their old age. I often think to myself, "Who are these people?" But then again, that's what happens to a life yielded to Jesus Christ. To see more pics go to myspace dot com, backspace christtherockministries
