Kim's Story
Well here we are 17 years later. Tell a little about myself...well after graduating High School the next month I was married and moving to North Carolina to be stationed with my husband at Cherry Point Marine Base, Havelock, North Carolina. We lived there a year and then returned to Louisiana, Missouri, where unfortunately a year later we were divorced. Just too young. I have never had any regrets. I saw many things and learned many good leasons.
I remained in Louisiana after my divorce and eventually met my husband Rob. We have been together 14 years, married 10 of those. I have a step daughter Denise that is 20 years old and two sons, Wyatt Allan is 7 years old and just began 2nd grade. Cooper Eugene is 2 years old and is a hand full. nd child?
I have worked the past 12 years for an agency in Bowling Green, Missouri that supports individuals that are developmentally disabeled as the Business Manager. Rob works as a Control Room Supervisor in Clarksville, Missouri at Holcim, Inc., formerly Dundee Cement.
This past May 2008 we purchased the home of our dreams. It is located in the country away from town. The suclusion is wonderful! We feel very blessed to have healthy children, good jobs and a great home.
My family all remain in Louisiana, sisters Debbie, Becky and Tammi along with my mother Patty. We lost our father in 2005, and have struggled with that nearly every day since.
So needless to say my life has moved along and I believe I am where I was meant to be in the role of a "working mother".
