Kim's Story
Born in Ottawa, Kim attended SPB and Aberhart. He played trombone in the Band, and also was on the Football, Basketball, and Track and Field teams. Pat Holstein was his girlfriend in Grade 11 and 12. Kim worked at the RBC and attended SAIT for half a year before enrolling in Physical education at U of C. He played volleyball for a year and then worked with Campus Recreation for a couple of years. Col. Macleod, Annie Gale, Montgomery, FE Osborne, and was Principal at Balmoral before going back to his love for teaching PE at Queen Elizabeth High for the last 5 years of his career. He has been retired for 10 years and has travelled all over the world to 75 countries. He now referees volleyball at the high school and University level. Kim has been married to Diane Gerlitz for 36 years and resides in Montgomery.
