Kim's Story

Life I married a USNA graduate (Skip) at the Academy chapel in a fairy tale wedding in 1986. We moved to San Diego for 7 months and then Hawaii for 5 1/2 years where both of our kids were born. As of 2007, they are Teddy (age 17) and Janine (age 16). We have homeschooled since kindergarten and Teddy graduated last year. Janine is a junior. I've absolutely loved being a wife and mom and am in the process of figuring out what I want to be when I grow up (when Teddy and Janine are both away at college). I sing on the worship team at church and Skip plays sax, trumpet, keyboard, drums, and bass (not all at once!)on the same team. I also just started taking tap dancing lessons at...Expand for more
Janine's persistent urging and am loving that. She is the true dancer in the family, though-tap, ballet, pointe, and jazz. Her dream is to teach dance at the school where she has been a student since she was 4. She has been a student teacher there for many years, so she's well on her way. Teddy wants to be a pastor or youth pastor and he is working with our youth pastor right now helping to lead the junior high youth group. Skip works at the CIA helping to save the world. I'm so proud of him. We've lived in Manassas, VA since 1992 when Skip got out of the Navy. God has proven Himself to be faithful over the years through good and bad times in our lives and I am so grateful.
