Kim's Story
Married 1979 (knew him 2 weeks) go figure. Two children 37 year old son and a 29 year old daughter. We have been married 39 years and I am extremely blessed and very happy. I retired in March 2010. My husband, Doug, joined me in retirement in February 2015. I now volunteer with the Seniors weekly at our local Community Center. Love it they are so great to be around.
We got transferred to the Seattle area in 1997 with my husband's job. The kids are grown. My daughter has served her time as an officer in the United States Army and completed her MBA with the GI bill. She now works for a Seattle company called Zoolilly. Can't believe how the Lord has blessed my life then and He continues to do so daily.
Since the kids are grown we have found a new honey moon relationship with each other.
In retirement we plan to travel and just do what we want. Volunteer and do more good for the world in general. Who ever thought we would reach this point in 1978? Since we both retired we have purchased an rv and made 2 cross country trips in it. Lots to see in the US. One trip was kinda depressing because my mom got sick and passed away. I did feel blessed to be able to spend (3) great weeks with her before her passing.
