Kim's Story
Hello Friends:
Gosh it has been 26 years! How time flys! Hello to all of my old friends. I hope this note finds you and your families happy and well.
My story... after high school I went to NIU and graduated in Health Administration. I worked for the Health Department then moved with Jim my now husband to a small town in Central IL while I worked in Champaign at a hospital. After a year, we learned that we missed Northern IL and moved back, got married in 1991.
In 1993 we moved to Monroe, WI. We are still here for now. Since we have been here, I have worked in various healthcare administrative positions in Rockford, Janesville and most recently in Monroe.
In May 2008, I finished my MBA in at UW Madison. This international business program included an amazing trip to China! I am now a mid life professional in transition (AKA job searching) looking to find the right employment to be able to balance my family and work life, make a difference and still st...Expand for more
ay in the area. No short order....
I have been happily married to Jim Hawthorne from Hebron. We met when I was in HS and stated dating when I was in college. We have two amazing girls ages 9 and 11. Every day they humble me with their clarity on life and true appreciation for childhood.
We live on 130 acres and Jim raises Registered Angus breeding stock, does embryo transplants etc. If we are not competing nationally for the purple ribbon, our weekends usually consist of time with the extended family. There are over 80 in the family now when my brothers, sisters and their kids all get together.
I rarely get back to Huntley. Every time I do I am amazed at how our old farm is now all houses and the neighbors have all moved on. I heard that the graduating class of 2012 will have over 650 kids. That is a long way from the 53 we had.
Would love to hear how old friends are doing and catch up. Take care and drop in if you ever cross the cheddar curtain!
