I was married for 11 years the first time around and have two sons. I got remarried 15 years ago and have a stepson.

My income job is working as a Client Service Manager for an Ameriprise Financial office.
My passion and artistic outlet is an embroidery and quilting business (Rugged Reds)I started in October 2001. In April 2006 Pieces of the Heart Quilts was created which is really where I like to use my creative energies. I have a web site piecesoftheheart.com.
Giving back-Volunteering
I spent years volunteering on Saturdays at Gilda's Club in Chicago. It is a drop-in cancer facility. I spent most of my time there baking breads, cookies, and cakes for the members. I felt a real connection to the facility as my own mother passed from breast cancer 21 years ago at the age of 59. I also donate quilts to "Project Linus" which makes quilts and blankets for terminally ill children and donates ...Expand for more
them to hospitals in the Chicago area.
I try to live by 2 mottos in life. One I learned from my Mom.
"You get what you give!"
The second one I learned through the "Bumps in the road of life"....
"I'd rather be happy than be right!"
Summer 09
I had issues this year with plantar facitis and achilles tendenosis which brought all my exercise routines and goals to do the triathalons this year to a screeching halt. I am just getting back to where I can run without the pain in the heel. I hope 2010 is a better year for running, biking and back to Jazzercise. I miss the small 5k races. I did take swimming lessons this year and have a chance of doing better in the triathalons next year.
I have 2 chocolate labs which keep me walking several times a day.
I see the reunion committee group once a month and wouldn't miss the meetings . It's a nice way to stay in touch with each other and decide how we are going to celebrate our 55th Birthday together in Vegas in 2010.
