Kim's Story
Hello everyone!!!!
Long time no see!!! It's been what, like 18 years since I last saw you????
So here I am. Not sure what I'm doing on a site like this. Hope to maybe connect with people that I wouldn't have in high school. I work in a doctor's office as a Medical Assistant. I've been doing that for 11 years now. I originally went to U.W. Whitewater for Elementary Ed, but decided after 3 1/2 years that I don't have the patience for that. I'd like to go back for my R.N. in the next 2 years. I have a beautiful daughter who is 5, and she is a character.
To describe myself I'd say that I am a strong independent woman that knows what she wants. I have been through alot in my life. I went through almost 5 years of fertility treatment to get pregnant with my daughter. 3 in vitro's and 7 inseminations.
I then came down with thyroid cancer. I named my tumor Helen. Helen of Roid. Get it??? Anything I'd say inappropriate I'd blame on Helen. I am cancer free, and doing well.
Then let's talk about marriage. My book will be titled "Delusions". Remember no marriage is safe. It's how much you want to work on it, and who is not happy in your circle of friends that will determine the outcome. I dated my ex husband, and I do emphasize ex :-) for 5 years. Then I got married, and was married for 10 years when he decided to leave me for my neighbor. She kicked her husband out of 20 years due to his muscular dystrophy. Oh the stories I can share. ic talking about baby names, and I shared with them my story. I said to them, "my daughter's name is Haley", and they said, "awe, that's a pretty name", and I said her middle name is Grace, named after Dr. Grace Janik. Without her we wouldn't have gotten pregnant", and they said, "awe, that's so nice", and then I said, "My husband of 10 years decided to f_ _ _ my neighbor", and then they gasped and said, "SHUT UP!!!", and that's when I knew I had a story to tell.
So in my personal resume, I have experience in cancer, infertility, infidelity, and divorce. I'm well rounded. I've found my sense of humor to be a little naughty, sarcastic, dry, dumb, corny, and just plain funny. I've needed it to get me through the toughest of times, and I'm in a good place. I've decided 2008 is my year. 2006 sucked, 2007 was better, and 2008 rocks!!! I have a funny story if anyone is interested about windshield washer fluid. Too much to type.
So any single men out there? Just checking.
On a final note. For those of you that remember me way back when....it's possible, just possible that I had a crush, or looking back, maybe some stalking issues with Jim Blask. Why Linda Yeager and I would walk to look at Jim's house, and then walk all the way to the Hills Apts to look at Brett Ketter's house, Im not sure, but back then it just made sense. So, if anyone knows what happened to Jim Blask, send me a line, and if you know him, tell him Kim Vida apologizes for liking you way back when.
