Kim's Story
Life
Kim Waltrip is a former model and actress who has appeared in such Television shows as "Cheers" and "In the Heat of the Night". She co-starred along side Patricia Arquette in a movie shot in Athens, Greece called "Pretty Smart" and she co-starred in the musically influenced film "Nights In White Satin". She started her career as a model for the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency in New York City in 1976 and ventured off to Europe where she continued her modeling career in Paris, Munich, Zurich and Milan.
Kim Waltrip is a Producer and owner of WonderStar Productions. She has just finished producing a film "Expecting Mary" starring Elliott Gould, Linda Gray, Lainie Kazan, Cloris Leachman, Della Reese, Olesya Rulin, Cybill Shepherd, Gene Simmons and Fred Willard. This follows the success of last years film "Adopt a Sailor" starring Bebe Neuwirth, Peter Coyote and Ethan Peck. She also just finished a short film "VISITING" starring James Waterston and Amy Locane that was just accepted to the prestigious Palm Springs Festival of Shorts. Her company has a variety of films in development.

She helped established the "Mary Bono Walk for Children's Charities", the "First Annual 44th Congressional District Mock Congress" for High School Students, organized the 44th Congressional "Adopt-A-Block" in Banning, CA, was the liaison for the "Triangular Adoption" program which required detail discipline, and a commitment to go to sea with the U.S. Navy in celebration on Assault Helicopter Warship's duties overseas, was the Team Captain for "Bono's Beauties and Beasts - American Cancer Society's Relay for Life", She established and helped produced the Semper Fi Memorial Honor Detail video "Again They Serve" which took the top award in all services of the military. She also produced and directed a pilot for a children's travel video series called "Griffin Goes..."
Waltrip is a current Board Member for Palm Springs Women In Film and Television, she is a Desert Trustee for the Olive Crest Abused ChildrenÂs Foundation where she was honored with the "Angel of the Year" and has a charity named for her dedication, the "Kim Waltrip Education Fund", She was awarded the Woman of Distinction Award for 2009 from the National Pen Women Association...to contact kim....kimwaltrip at aol
