John's Story
I married my high school sweetheart and joined the Army right out of high school. We have been married for over 30 years. I love her more now than ever. We have raised three children and one nephew. We have four grandchildren with one more on the way in August.
During 20 years in the Army I was stationed in Germany (twice), Korea, Fort Irwin, CA, and Fort Knox. I Retired in 2000 and went to work in the warehouse at Frito-Lay. esigned. Good company, but they demanded more than I was willing to give.
So the wife and I bought our own straight truck and went to work in the expediting business. We have been on the road for the past four years. Like any job it has its moments, but it provides us the type of freedom we both want to come and go as we please. It also allows us to see our kids and grandkids more often since two of our children live outside of Louisville.
I am currently working finishing my degree at U of L, and starting my own fleet of expediting trucks.
