Kimberley's Story
More of you from the class of 1978 will remember me rather than my graduating class members because I chose to graduate a year early. Yes, I was that 15 year old attending classes in the middle of the strike.
After I left Warminster in 1980, I moved to Honolulu, Hawaii. I lived there for twenty years, working and taking care of my invalid parents. I worked at Pearl Harbor Navy Base and then at HMSA insurance as a programmer.
I then moved to Fresno, California. Yes, Fresno, of all places. I worked for Aetna for a number of years and now work at the country's second oldest community college (and California's oldest), Fresno City College.
My husband, Dennis, and I met through eHarmony. Yes, eHarmony actually works! I moved into his home in Madera, California in January of 2006 and...Expand for more
we were married the following September.
Madera is California's "other" wine country. Its biggest claim to fame are its Ports and Dessert Wines, made respectively by Ficklin Vineyards and the Quady Winery. We enjoy attending wine trail events throughout the year.
Dennis is a big Disney fan, so we hold annual passes to Disneyland, and we have a time share in Las Vegas and spend a week on the strip at least once a year. No, we're not much on gambling, but the shows are a lot of fun!
When I'm not working at the college or vacationing, I work as a psychic. Yes, really. All of you who thought I was a tad out there were right. And so am I, 95+ % of the time. I have a small but devoted group of clients who regularly ask for me at the new age shop where I occasionally provide services.
