Kimberly's Story
Life
Kimberly Bailey August 2009
Well slower moving these days, Broke my left ankle and had to have surgery to repair it with a plate and seven pins.
I recently relocated to Castaic Califonia with my 2 Pugs,Gracie and Pepper.
Still the proud parent of 3 perfect children and a fabulously proud Grandmother of 4 amazing grandchildren.
After School I raised children and my only focus was on them. Then came the empty nester period of my life when I was so glad that I had returned to College. I always wanted to be a photographer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. They always wanted me to grown up, LOL - As it turns out, they were right, about the growing up and the photography.
Funny how our interest for school is much more focused when we are more "mature" shall we say.
These days I am doing what I love most. I am a Commercial Photographer in Vancouver and California. As such I do Portrait, Headshot, and Portfoilo work for Artists, and commercial work for manufacturers. I have so much fun doing what I do that I could never call it work.
My favorite fun thing in life is to photograph four of the most amazing subjects, Harriosn Snyder (age 8 1/2) Alexis & Haliegh Snyder (twins age 7 1/2) and Emily Snyder (age 2 1/2 all my most adored Grandchildren.
Lately I do a great deal of work in Ho...Expand for more
llywood, Red Carpet Movie Premiers and such, and I am known for my Hand Painted Photo Paintings that used for D covers and personal Portraits.
After those beautiful subjects it is off to find Eagles in the wild. I can never sit still for very long so I tend to track and chase them, which is quite interesting to see, or so I'm told! The American Bald Eagle is more prevelant in BC, and Alaska than in California so I am able to find them with ease at certain times of the year. My goal is to keep it up and not stop until I have the perfect picture. Could take me awhile as I seldom think that anything is perfect.
I spend most of my time in California now but still get to Vancouver when possible. 2008 took me to Santiago Chile and the opp to take photos of White Tigers, and fantastic Graffeti.
I can't wait to see London in the Fall (if I ever get the time to schedule it), and being in the Kayak as often as possible is still one of my goals.
2008 was a hard year and full of personal losses for me, but Mom always said look for the silver lining, and I am blessed with 4 silver linings, my grandchildren. They bring me the happiness I seek when all seems bleek!
Books fill any empty moments Iam able to steal and savore.
Stay happy healthy and safe in 2009 and look for me on Kimberly Brown Photography at brownagencies com
