Kimberly's Story
Life
After graduating from Texas A & I in December 1995, I moved to Austin to work for EDS/NHIC as a Client Services Marketing Representative. I then transferred to Fort Worth/Dallas area when NHIC merged with ESI, Inc. I left ESI in February 1997 and accepted a position as an Assistant Director of Client Services for Outreach Health Services. I supervised a 48 county area. After losing our contact with the State in 1999, I became a long-term substitute teacher for Arlington ISD. In February 2000, I went to work for Child Protective Services as an Abuse/Neglect Investigator. In 2001, I transferred to Child Care Licensing (CCL). ls Club of Collin County. In 2003, I then went back to CCL.
On New Year's Eve 1997, I met my husband, Brandon on a blind date set-up by my best friend, Stephanie Burgh. In Sept. 1998, we married in San Diego, California at Pacific Beach. My husband was stationed in Japan at the time I met him. He returned home in December 1999. In May of 2003, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Natalie Kate. Since moving from Kingsville, I have lived in Austin, Fort Worth, Frisco, Grapevine, Dallas, Plano, Waco, Lewisville and McKinney. I am now back to Kingsville. I have been an elementary school teacher the last 3 years and my daughter graduated from Bishop High School. She will be attending TAMUK pursuing a degree in veterinary medicine.
