Kimberly's Story

Well, some of us take longer than others to figure out why we're on this planet. I started college in Florida as an Astro-Physics major, and ended up working government business development in Alaska. But, thanks to a husband who wanted to be single and forever 21 (oh thank God), my life was a complete do-over in 2005... I essentially walked away from him and my life and started over. Throughout my travels and various career morphs, there was always photography. But, I don't enjoy working with the general public, and even more dismay at the thought of taking images of people. So, what else do you do... fine art... well, you can make a decent income off that if you're Ansel Adams. So, it remained a dream. In the last three years I have had the wonderful blessing of literally recreating myself into what I want to be, not what I have to be to survive, or what other expect of me. I am now living...Expand for more
outside of Kansas City, Missouri and working as an architectural photographer. Buildings aren't near the primadonna's as fashion models (or mothers of the bride for that matter) and I am loving every minute of it. In the course of the last three years I met the guy that it was clear from the first date that I was always destined to be with. I have never known such love and support as Steve gives me. We push each other to be the best we can be, and are truly soul mates. I never knew it could be like this, nor did I know I would ever be as lucky as to fine it. Thanks to Steve, I also have "gotten out of" having kids. I am now the evil step-mom to five, and a step-grandma to one. I'll take that. So... at 40... I am finally finding the adventure, love, and career that some people never achieve. I have never been happier... and I can't wait to see where my life goes now that it is FINALLY on track!
