Kimberly's Story
Hello out there-
My short story:
I am currently living in Phoenix, NY and I finally got married to an awesome guy!!! My husband & I own a construction business and build custom homes, but also do commercial work too. We are also distributors & installers for Insulated Concrete Forms. When not working, we hang out with family, friends, and our Golden Doodle, Ronan. aka Doodle Dude. We keep a couple of boats on the St. Lawrence river and try to spend our summer weekends there. We are also avid skiers in the winter, and enjoy back-country skiing the most.
After HS, I moved out west and ski bummed on and off for the next 15 years. I also did a lot of traveling for skiing, living out of my van, or tent. Skiing deep powder is an easy addiction, and so I guess I may have become a little obsessed with skiing. I did move back home several times, and even stayed for a couple of years on Tipp Hill. I always had remained close to my family, and that was always tugging at my heart strings, so ultimately that's what brought me home; otherwise, I probably would have stayed out west.
All in all, I really do not hav...Expand for more
e any regrets that I lived against the grain. It was a great experience, I had the chance to see the country by way of back roads, and met a lot of interesting characters!! I learned a lot about myself too. I don't think I could have lived those younger years any differently; my soul was always yearning for adventure. What I took from those experiences, I carry with me today in every thing that I do.
What I have learned about life so far is to appreciate the people you love. Put in an honest days work. Be kind to others. Live passionately and simply. Drive a beater, it's more fun. Drink Guinness at the bar, and Blue Light at the bon-fire. Dance naked in your living room. Sing in the shower. Wear socks to bed. Stay active. Pick your favorite age, and be that age forever, I am 33. Pass on what you have learned. Listen to your intuition. Reflect on memories. And always, always live true to yourself.
peace, kimmy
