Kimberly's Story
Life
After 15 years in the high-tech industry, I made a huge life change and became a veterinarian at age 42. Now I'm enjoying life, curing animals, making new friends in this new career. In August 2004, I moved to the Portland area (Oregon, not Maine) to escape a little further from the hectic lifestyle of California. I worked for several years as Clinic Director of the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, and was ready to stay there forever.

't always cooperate. In March 2009, the clinic was shut down and all the clinic staff laid off. As unemployment reached 13.5% in the Portland area, and I couldn't find work, I looked elsewhere. On July 2, 2009, I moved to Las Vegas after accepting a position as Medical Director of a private practice hospital just east of the strip. I look forward to this new chapter of my life in the desert heat!
