Kimberly's Story
Life
Hello class of '92. Wow, where to begin. After high school I moved to Pittsburgh with Shawn Long. I lived out there for about 1 1/2 years. After we split I moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin. I have lived here for about 12 years now. I am single and have a 9 year old daughter named Hannah. I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 rats. I have and Associates degree in Dental Hygiene. I will soon have a license in Cosmetology. I have been in school for about 4 1/2 years now and have about 2 years left to go. I feel like I am a lifer. But when it is all done I vow to never return to any type of schooling again. I had an 8 year career in the car dealership. First as a Service Adviser and then as a Sales Consultant and Internet Manager. I decided I needed a job that was bankers hours, no nights, weekends, holidays, and that paid really good. So off I went to earn my degree. Let me tell you, I wanted to run away screaming many times through out my college years, but I did not. I toughed it out and made something better of myself.
School
I did not have a crush on any one in high school. As most of you know I dated Shawn Long.
I did not have any teachers who inspired me either. I was just glad to graduate...Expand for more
and be done. I swore at graduation that I would never go to school again. Now look at me.
I never really did anything crazy in school. My senior year I hooked classes alot with Jessica Edwards, who was my accomplice. We hooked so much I am suprised that either one of us graduated.
I also had many, many huge parties at my house. Many of you may remember this as well.
College
I graduated in May of 2006 at North East Wisconsin Technical College. I earned an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene.
I am currently in school now earning a Dental Community Certificate. I will graduate in May of 2007.
I will then start Martins School of Cosmetology in June of 2007. I will graduate from here in July of 2008.
The only thing I can say about college is that it sucks. Don't get me wrong, I strongly encourage anybody to go on and better educate yourself. But, once I receive all my degrees I swear I will never return.
Workplace
I am a student right now. I am currently not working. I volunteer from time to time in the community doing dental care for low income children. I do not get paid for my services. I like doing this. It makes me feel good knowing I am helping someone who needs it.
