Kim's Story
Life
Let's see! I left for basic training inthe Army just 4 days after graduation and haven't looked back since! I spent 2 years in the Reserves while I went to SUNY Albany and then it was off to active duty. I am out now, but am an Army wife so I am still living the life!
I have 4 sons (Donovan, Ka'lani, Scott, and Ty) and I definately have my hands full with that!
School
I certainly don't miss much about high school. Some of the people, maybe, but not school. I liked my classes, but it is never fun to be a student in the same school that your mother teaches in! Mrs. Sherman, my French and Latin teacher, inspired me to follow my linguistic dreams, which I did and became a multilingual linguist in the US Army.

lture shock! But I got through it with flying colors which was a good thing. I spent 2 years in the Reserves, which I hated, but I loved the military so 6 months after AIT at Fort Jackson, I went active duty, changed my MOS and never looked back! I went to DLI in California and spent a year learning Polish and went to Goodfellow AFB to become a SIGINT analyst. I spent a couple years at Fort Meade, between deployments and loved every minute of it. Then I went back to DLI and became a Vietnamese and flew off to Hawaii! Not a bad place to go! Lots of deployments there, too! But I still LOVED it! I got out for a couple of years to take care of my grandfather until he died and then went back in. I got out again in 2003, after a couple of surgeries gone bad! But I am still living the life, now as an Army wife.
